Summer Adventures Camp Registration Now Open


Summer is the time for adventure, new experiences and memories. Heritage Park is a great place to enjoy the summer. This year the Heritage Trust, will once again offer a summer recreation camp program, Summer Adventures, for kids entering grades K through 6. 

his camp recreation program will take place in the morning hours of the warm summer, and give children a chance to start the day off creating art or music, playing sports, engaging in special themed events, while enjoying their days with new friends.


The fee for this 5-week program is $400 per child. We offer a $25 discount for additional siblings. The program will run from Monday, June 29, 2020 through Friday, July 31, 2020. The hours will be from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm

Comedy Night Returns (NEW DATE)

Join us on June 12 for an amazing night of comedy! Aragona's Comedy presents Comedy Night For the Heritage Center of Mt. Sinai. This event will be headlined by Paul Bond (Madison Square Garden, Comedy Central, Las Vegas), one of hottest comics in the country.


In addition to a great lineup of comedians, the night will include dinner, drinks (water, soda, beer and wine) and raffles. No outside alcohol please!


Tickets ($60 per person) can be purchased online or by calling Heritage Trust. Seating is limited, and if you want to reserve a table of 8 please call us to let us know

The Heritage Trust is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization established in 2000.  It stewards the North Shore Heritage Park, in partnership with the Town of Brookhaven and Suffolk County.  The Heritage Trust relies greatly on donations for the success of their programs and events

Camp Director

Heritage Trust is seeking a Summer Camp Director for our 5 week summer camp program. This is a seasonal position. The camp runs from June 29th through July 31st, 2020. The Director must be available prior to camp start date for planning and preparation and also after end date to close out camp responsibilities.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develop and coordinate program themes and activities in sports and art for children ages entering K to grade 6 for a 5 week half day summer camp.

  • Implement established budget for art and sport supplies and activities.

  • Recruit and manage up to 15 staff members.

  • Responsible for scheduling, evaluating and supervising employees.

  • Direct camp of up to 90 children.


Building Attendant (Part Time)

 Heritage Center, Mt. Sinai - Open and closes building for building rentals, private parties, meetings, etc. Sets up tables and chairs, supply and cleaning maintenance. Must be responsible, works well with the public, reliable, flexible and a team player. Concession sells refreshments, supply and cleaning maintenance. Hours: Weeknights and weekends, flexible hours.

Concession Workers (Part Time)

Concession sells refreshments, supply and cleaning maintenance. Must be responsible, works well with the public, reliable, flexible and a team player. Limited number of positions available. Concession open daily 11:00 to 8:00pm May through September. Must be available to work 8-9 hour shifts at least 2 days per week.
